Honoring Yvonne's Life: Help the Savoy Family

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the unexpected death of Marian Yvonne Savoy on Sunday, November 24, 2024. Affectionately known as Yvonne, she was a vibrant, one-of-a-kind wife, mother, sister, and aunt who had an answer for everyone, even if you didn't want to hear it. Yvonne told it like it was and always shot straight from the hip.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her son, Dwayne A. Savoy, aka Iceman. Dwayne grew up in St. Charles, went to Arthur Middleton in the 70s, Benjamin Stoddert in the early 80s, and had many friends who went to LaPlata, Thomas Stone, Lackey, or McDonough High School from 1983 to 1987 or thereabout.

Yvonne had been fighting a number of ailments for the past few years, and over the last few months, her health deteriorated quickly. On Sunday, she succumbed to her illnesses.

In this time of grief, we are asking for your support to raise funds to cover the funeral costs and memorial services. The Savoy family is facing the difficult task of laying her to rest and giving her the proper burial she deserves. The financial cost is heavy for her husband, Delbert Savoy, and we ask that our family and friends come together and help him to bury her.
