In Honor of Sweet Avery

Beautiful baby Avery, daughter of Katelyn and Michael, stopped breathing on Sunday, Oct. 2, at 8 weeks old.  She has been in the hospital surrounded by love and prayer for the last couple of days with her parents by her side. 

Tragically, it was determined in the early hours of the morning on Wednesday, October 5, that she will not regain brain function. During this heartbreaking time, her parents were able to think beyond themselves and to the lives of others. They are donating Avery's organs and praying for the recipients and their families, and praying also that all of her organs be viable as to save as many lives as possible. 

Avery is absolutely cherished by her parents and, unfortunately, as they learn to live life without her and walk this road of grief beyond understanding, they will begin receiving large medical bills. To say it's unfair that they should have this burden added to their pain is an understatement, but it's a reality.
