Honouring Auntie Tina’s Life
Donation protected
It’s 2000. You’re delivering mail from door to door on a blazing hot day in August. You reach the house with blooming flowers, white X’s on the windows, and Christmas lights still hanging up.
You drop the recipient’s mail in their box and hear the creaky lid shut. You sit down to catch your breath, feeling sweat drip down your forehead.
Suddenly, you hear the front door fly open. You get up to apologize for lingering on someone else’s property, but you’re met by a woman with a beaming smile. She offers you a choice of water or Coca-Cola, both with the option of ice.
This soon becomes a routine. You sit at the colorful house and are always greeted with your choice of drink. You never find out her name.
That woman was my mother, Faustina Osei Abrokwa-Ampadu.
She lived her life with joy, always ready to share a smile and a drink with anyone who crossed her path. Her home was a haven of warmth, laughter, and kindness, a true reflection of her vibrant spirit.
As we prepare to honour her memory, we want to give her a farewell that celebrates the joy and love she spread throughout her life.
We’re asking for your help to cover part of the funeral expenses. Any contribution, big or small, would mean the world to us and help us ensure that Auntie Tina’s final journey is as beautiful and special as she was.
Thank you for your support and for helping us celebrate the life of a remarkable woman.
