Honouring Davina Ruprah: Aspiring to Inspire
Donation protected
Davina Ruprah was a bright and passionate young woman pursuing her LPC (Legal Practice Course) Masters at the University of Law. Tragically, she lost her life in a car accident on 15th July 2024, along with her beloved uncle Kiran Sagoo and dear friend Sachin Kalia.
A first-class LLB Law graduate from the University of Hertfordshire, Davina was working as an Administrator at a leading law firm and was about to start a new role as a Paralegal. She was deeply passionate about helping others on their legal journey and even started an Instagram page called "Life of an Aspiring Lawyer" to share her experiences and advice. Her motto, "Aspiring to Inspire," truly reflected her generous spirit and desire to support others.
In her memory, we are raising funds for The Law Society’s Diversity Access Scheme (DAS) that provides essential support for aspiring legal professionals. The scheme focuses on scholarships, mentoring, and promoting diversity in the legal field, all causes Davina cared about deeply. A portion of the funds will also be used to create a special memorial in her name.
By contributing, you’ll help other students achieve their dreams and honour Davina’s legacy. Thank you for your support.
With gratitude,
Sati, Suzie & Sanjeev Ruprah x

Charitable Causes:
To honor Davina’s memory and her unwavering commitment to supporting aspiring legal professionals, we have partnered with the Law Society’s Diversity Access Scheme (DAS). This initiative is dedicated to helping talented individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds overcome barriers in their path to a legal career, a mission Davina held close to her heart.
The DAS works to address the financial, professional, and experiential obstacles many aspiring lawyers face by:
- Providing scholarships for essential courses like the Legal Practice Course (LPC) and Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) preparation. These scholarships cover the full cost of study, enabling students to focus on their ambitions without financial strain.
- Offering mentorship and high-quality work placements that guide students through the complexities of both practical and academic challenges in the legal field, a reflection of Davina’s own dedication to helping others on their journey.
- Promoting diversity and inclusion within the legal profession to ensure everyone has an equal opportunity to make their voice heard. Davina was passionate about championing others, and supporting the DAS is a way for us to carry on her legacy of lifting others up.
How your funds will be used:
All contributions made in Davina’s memory will go directly to the DAS, managed by the Law Society Educational Trust. Funds will support scholarships and other essential resources for future DAS awardees. This year, the DAS was able to support 14 students thanks to the generosity of sponsors, donors, and partnerships like this.
We are deeply honored to celebrate Davina’s life and legacy through this meaningful cause. We will continue to update you on the impact of your donations and the ways they’re making a difference. Thank you for standing with us in honouring Davina and helping aspiring lawyers just like her achieve their dreams.
