Honouring Elvira: Support for Her Final Journey

Hi everyone,

I am here to raise funds to cover costs for my grandmother's funeral, expenses that will come along from her sudden death, and to aid a cousin who was in the car accident and suffered severe injuries.

Around 10:00 pm in the night it was raining heavly. My cousin and grandmother were going home and unfortunately things took a turn as a result of severe heavy rain. They crashed into a post- my cousin taken to the hospital and my grandmother passed. An image was sent of the accident and my heart sank from the moment I was told that the accident took her life. My head hurts from crying and I am having a hard time believing this is true. Is though there were disagreements with this woman- I felt inside a loving endearment towards her. We shared funny moments and many that I will cherish. In one instance, I wrapped an egg around the aluminium foil and put it under her seat, other times we would go out and eat. I wish the night had not been filled with pouring water because maybe she might have made it home. Back in her home in her bed, crossing one leg over the other looking up at the ceiling before closing her eyes. Now she will have forever those beautiful green/blue eyes closed forever. A reminder how much she was loved to know that not only I will miss her presence and voice but her children, grandchildren, and those that have come to built a relationship with her.
