Honouring Our Mum – Supporting Ovarian Cancer Research

On May 29th, 2025, it will be one year since we lost our incredible mum Julie to ovarian cancer.

There isn't a day that goes by where we don’t feel her absence. She was the heart of our family—kind, selfless, and strong beyond words. Watching her fight this terrible disease was heartbreaking, but through it all, she held onto her grace and her love for others.

This year, we want to honour her legacy in a way that gives back to others facing the same fight.

We are raising money for ovarian cancer research and support services, in memory of Mum and in support of all the families affected by this devastating disease.

As part of this tribute, our youngest, Grayson, will be getting his first haircut—and donating his beautiful hair to make wigs for those undergoing cancer treatment. Mum wore a wig during her journey, and we know just how much confidence and comfort it gave her. Grayson’s gift is a way for our family to pay it forward in her name.

To add to this cause, I will also be baking and selling Ovarian Cancer Ribbon Cookies, with 100% of the proceeds donated to the same fund. It’s my way of sharing something sweet with the world, just like Mum always did.

This cause is incredibly close to our hearts, and every single donation—big or small—makes a difference. If you are able to give, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. And if you can’t donate but feel moved to share our story, we are just as grateful.

We miss Mum more than words can say. But through this fundraiser, we hope to carry her light forward—into research, awareness, support, and hope for others.
