Honouring Vicky Teinaki: A Legacy of learning and sharing
Donation protected
In January, we lost a dear friend and mentor, Vicky Teinaki, who was a pillar of the UX community. She was one of the founding members of NUX Newcastle and dedicated over a decade to helping our community grow. Through her passion for UX, she mentored others, shared her insights in blogs and talks, and was always ready to help on Cross-Gov Slack. Her generosity and knowledge shaped so many careers, and her legacy continues to inspire us.
To honour Vicky’s incredible impact, we want to continue her mission: helping others learn and share knowledge. UX Scotland has kindly donated a conference ticket to NUX Newcastle, giving someone the opportunity to attend, learn, and—just as Vicky always did—pass that knowledge on to others.
We are raising funds to cover travel and accommodation costs for this individual. If we exceed our goal, any extra funds will go towards other initiatives that support learning and knowledge-sharing in UX.
If you’d like to help us keep Vicky’s spirit alive and support the next generation of UX professionals, please consider donating. Every contribution, big or small, helps continue the legacy of someone who gave so much to our community.
Thank you for your support.
