Hoops for Harris: Help Ms. Munro Battle Cancer

Ms. Munro, a Kindergarten teacher at Mary Bryant Elementary since its opening, was diagnosed with breast cancer on December 16, 2024, and underwent a double mastectomy on December 30. She has dedicated years to her students and the community. Her daughter, Ava, is now a junior at Sickles High School after attending Mary Bryant and Farnell Middle. Currently on medical leave, Ms. Munro misses her students and their families. She also cares for her mother, who moved in after losing her husband to Alzheimer’s in late 2021. Any support would mean the world to her and her family during this challenging time.

Sickles Student Government has chosen Ms. Munro as the beneficiary of the 16th annual "Hoops for Harris" fundraiser, which supports a local family each year. All proceeds will go directly to her and her family.
