Hoops for Hope supporting TECHO
Tax deductible
My family and I visited the Dominican Republic this past year and participated in a TECHO building trip. TECHO is an organization that helps overcome poverty in which millions of people live in informal settlements in Latin America and the Caribbean. Our visit to a neighborhood in Santo Domingo to build a house was eye-opening for all of us. The extreme poverty we witnessed motivated us to keep supporting and helping so more families can experience a true home for their families.
We plan to help them continue their mission with our donation goal this year being $25,000 which will cover the cost of 5 new houses along with a new beginning for 5 families.
This year the event will be on April 15, from 5-8 pm, at Palmer Trinity High School and will be open to all boys and girls in 4th to 8th grade. The entry fee for each team will be $100. Sponsorships are also available- $500 for family sponsorship and $1000 for corporate sponsorship.
Once donation is received, we will send you an email to get team name and participants.
Any other donation amount will be very much appreciated!
All donations raised will go directly to TECHO and aid them in helping the poverty-stricken Latin American and Caribbean communities.
