Hope & A miracle for Sandy-Beating Cancer Again
Donation protected
This time of year can be the best for some and the hardest for others. Last year at this time my beautiful mother was diagnosed with cervical, uterine and abdominal cancer, stage llll. Her chances were bleak. She underwent a grueling year of chemos, surgeries, appointments and emotional and physical pain and challenges. In September we were told my mom was “cancer free” and only had to continue one of her chemos for up to 2 more years to prevent reoccurrence. Less than 2 weeks ago the unimaginable happened. She went to the ER for abdominal pain and was told not only was the cancer back, but it was terminal. All of our worlds came crashing down. Especially hers. To fight so hard and then be told you won’t live through the year in a matter of months is no less than torture. We have had to pull ourselves together as a family and lift her up. And with that, we have decided to get another opinion and treatment at the Cancer Treatment of America Center in Chicago. We know the outcome could go in either direction, but we aren’t ready to give up the fight or the hope that what seems impossible could in fact be POSSIBLE. After all, her original diagnosis was the same as her current and she beat that. With this new journey comes many expenses. Travel, Housing, treatments and other expenses. Insurance covers some, but much of it we will need help providing. I ask if even you are only able to share this post, that you will. At this time of year, our family needs all the prayers, support and help we can get. Wishing you all the happiest and healthiest of holidays and thanking you for anything you may be able to do with our need of a miracle!
