Honoring Charles Lima: Support Funeral Costs
Donation protected
Sadly, on Friday, my father-in-law passed away. This news was very unexpected, devastating, and extremely painful for all his loved ones. His name is Charles Patrick Lima. He was a veteran in the armed forces. During the time that he served, he was stationed at Pearl Harbor. He was there during the attack on Pearl Harbor and he survived the tragic event. He always wanted to help others. He lived with a rough exterior but a loving heart. The police investigation has come to believe there was foul play involved. From what has been discovered, immediately after passing away, he was robbed by a caretaker. Not just for his money but for every item in his home; everything he owned was taken and given out to strangers, all while he tried to hide the fact of him passing away from his family. His death was delayed in being reported for up to a whole day. There is more to the story that is unfolding and we will hear more when the police call back. At this time, my husband is wrecked emotionally as well as the whole family.
The cremation services and funeral costs are something that we just don't have the money to take care of. I am disabled and I only get $900 every month, and my husband can't even afford to buy his insulin. The rest of the family is also disabled and unable to pay for cremation services and funeral costs. So I've come to GoFundMe to share what's happened in the hopes that somebody can help donate to help us.
