I am Tamer, a man living in Gaza with three young children: Ahmed, Alaa, and Jud. I had worked hard abroad to secure a better future for my family before October 7th. However, with the outbreak of war and deteriorating conditions, I was forced to return to Gaza, losing my source of income. I came back to embrace my children amidst fear and anxiety from bombings and rockets, only to find my home devastated by the war.

The war was not just a series of horrific events; it was a turning point that destroyed everything I had. Despite the hardships I faced abroad, I never expected to return and find my children hiding from bombings in the corners of our shattered home.

As months passed and the war continued, the situation became unbearable. We fled our home in search of safety, miraculously escaping death several times due to bombings. My children suffered from fear and anxiety, and the conditions of displacement made them vulnerable to diseases. However, medications and medical care were scarce due to the blockade.

The war brought not only physical destruction but also severe emotional and psychological exhaustion that deeply affects my family. I try my best to shield my children from psychological trauma, but the urgent need for material assistance now lies in securing life's essentials such as food, water, and clothing, given the harsh conditions we endure in Gaza.
