Goal of the fund: Evacuate Salwa and her kids from War

Beneficiaries

- Salwa Abu Nada, 58 years old, teacher and has a brain tumor.

- Ayah Abu Nada, 22 years old, is a university student in her senior year in the faculty of Engineering.

- Nour Abu Nada, 17 years old, high school student.

- Lubna Abunada, 26 years old, pregnant with a high risk of miscarriage.

- Wesam Alderawi, 32 years old, English teacher.

Salwa recounts the story of what has happened since the beginning of the war: we refused to leave our house despite the growing danger, we were determined to stay in our home. But when the fighting intensified and hospitals up north were targeted, we had no choice but to flee. My health condition, a brain tumor that requires regular medication and check-ups to prevent severe seizures, made it imperative for us to seek medical care elsewhere.

Hoping to find the necessary medication in the south, we left our home, only to be met with disappointment when we discovered that the medicine available there had expired back in 2021.

Salwa also explains: I have four children who live with me in Gaza: my three daughters and a son. My eldest daughter, Lubna, is married and currently pregnant. She suffered a miscarriage before, her previous miscarriage makes this pregnancy particularly risky, and the limited medical resources in Gaza only exacerbate our concerns. Lubna's husband Wesam was an English teacher but lost his job because of the war.

She adds: My youngest daughters, Ayah and Nour, used to live and study in Belgium but came to visit me in Gaza because of my sickness. Unfortunately, they got stuck and were unable to leave.
