From Stability to Desperation: A Life
Turned Upside Down
Before the war, my family and I lived a stable and dignified life in Gaza. We had a home filled with love, jobs that provided for our needs, and dreams for the future. Despite the challenges posed by the blockade and economic hardship, we found joy in our simple moments, holding onto hope amidst adversity.
But the war shattered everything. In an instant, we became displaced, homeless, and struggling for survival. The gravity of our situation compels me to seek urgent assistance in evacuating my family from Gaza to a safer place, where we can begin .
Forced Displacement: A Journey of Suffering
When the bombings began, we were forced to flee from northern Gaza to the south, seeking refuge in Rafah. There, we found ourselves in a makeshift tent, completely exposed to the elements. The relentless heat during the day left us gasping for breath, while at night, the biting cold seeped through the thin fabric, making sleep nearly impossible. We were haunted by the sounds of explosions, constantly reminding us of the danger that lurked nearby. The fear and uncertainty of our new reality gripped us tightly, amplifying our sense of vulnerability.
Food and clean water quickly became scarce. With limited resources and no access to markets, we scavenged for whatever we could find. Our bodies grew weak from hunger, and the constant worry about where our next meal would come from drained our spirits. We relied on salty seawater, unsuitable for drinking, as our only option for hydration, causing further distress to our already fragile health. Each day felt like an insurmountable challenge as we battled not just for survival but for a shred of hope in a world turned upside down.
Cooking over an open fire has become a painful necessity for us, but it comes with significant challenges. The smoke produced not only stings our eyes but also exacerbates respiratory issues, making it difficult for us to breathe comfortably. This constant exposure to smoke adds to our suffering, as we struggle to prepare even the simplest meals under such harsh conditions.

Returning to Nothing: The Aftermath of War
After months of displacement, we returned north, hoping to reunite with what was left of our home. Instead, we found nothing but rubble and destruction.
No home, no furniture, no belongings—everything was gone.
No electricity, no clean water, and no healthcare services.
No jobs or opportunities to earn a living.
My home before:Our beautiful sanctuary, filled with love and beauty in every corner

Remnants of our destroyed home and dreams:

Living in a tent: a daily challenges
Living in a tent that lacks even the most basic necessities of life is an everyday challenge. When we returned north, hoping to embrace our warm home once again, we were instead met with nothing but rubble and destruction. We no longer have a home or shelter. Gaza lacks the fundamental necessities of a dignified human life—there are no humanitarian services, no health facilities, no electricity, and a dire scarcity of drinking water, usable water for daily needs, and food. It is not a home—it is a space where insects and rodents thrive, where every day is a struggle. it is a space where insects and rodents thrive, where every day is a struggle.
Even access to water—a fundamental human right—is an exhausting task. Drinking water and water for daily use must be fetched from long distances. Food is scarce and priced beyond reach, and medical care, if available, is often too expensive. With our homes, jobs, and futures lost, affording rent is impossible. We never imagined having to ask for help, but the destruction has taken everything—our shelter, our livelihoods, and our security—leaving us with no choice

Crowds gather in front of a food stand, each person hoping today might be the day they find something to eat. The wait is long, the chances are slim, and the need is overwhelming. In the shadow of hunger, even reaching the front of the line feels like a distant dream. This isn’t just a food line—it’s a daily battle for survival in the face of scarcity, displacement, and despair.

Food and bread being cooked over firewood—if only we can provide flour and food to cook in the midst of this devastating famine. The thick smoke rising from the fire irritates eyes and harms our lungs, especially in the absence of medical care and health facilities. This image tells a story not just of hunger, but of the harsh conditions that threaten our health and survival every day

My tent stands where hope tries to survive — fragile and fading. It overlooks the ruins of my home, once alive with laughter, now nothing but silent rubble. Every sunrise pierces my heart with the memory of all I’ve lost, and every sunset reminds me that I must carry on, even when everything inside me is breaking. This is not just loss — it’s a constant, aching grief that lives with me every day
Is this what a dignified human life looks like? Can you imagine living this way? Does a dignified life require so much? Is it truly impossible?
We have lived like this not for a day, but for two long, painful years.
We are not asking for luxuries ✨ — we are asking to live — to live like human beings
War has taken everything from us: our homes , our safety ️, our dreams ✨.
Now, we are left fighting not for a future, but for survival.
Every day is a battle ⚔️ against hunger, disease, and despair.
What if, just for one day, you lived our life?
No clean water . No food . No safe home ️. No peace ☁️.
Could you survive it — even for 24 hours?
War Returns, Humanity Fades
While we had hoped for relief, the war has returned, plunging us back into fear and devastation. After enduring the trauma of displacement, we now face the harsh reality of destruction once again, with no end in sight. The war has returned, more brutal and devastating than ever before, accompanied by a severe absence of food, water, and the basic necessities of human life.
From Someone Still Surviving in Gaza
I am writing this not just as a Palestinian woman, but as a mother, a daughter, and a human being who is trying to stay alive — day by day — under the bombs, without food, without water, and without safety.
Since October, our lives have turned into a nightmare. We’ve lost our homes. We’ve lost loved ones. And now, we are losing even the basic right to survive.
There is no flour. No clean water. No shelter. No peace.
Children are dying from hunger. Entire families are buried under rubble. And the world is still silent.
I never imagined I would be begging for help — but today, I am. Not for luxury. Not for comfort. Just for survival.
I started a campaign because I don’t know what else to do. I don’t want my family to starve. I don’t want to see my neighbors' children cry for bread we don’t have. I don’t want to give up on life.
If you have ever felt pain for Gaza, this is your chance to act.
Please, donate if you can. And if you can’t, please share this with others who might.
Every single gesture — no matter how small — means something to us.
Maybe it means a meal. Maybe it means clean water.
Maybe it means a moment of hope in a place where hope is disappearing.
A Heartfelt Plea
It is incredibly painful to leave the country we once called home, the place where our memories were made. What we have endured is beyond words. Our homeland has been reduced to a disaster-stricken area, lacking even the most basic needs for a decent human life. We struggle daily to find clean drinking water and access to essential services, while health facilities are in dire condition.
We have lost everything—our homes, our livelihoods, and our sense of security. All we dream of is a future where we can live with dignity, rebuild our lives, and foster our dreams. Your support, no matter how small, can create a significant impact on our lives. It will help me maintain my hope for a better tomorrow.
A New Chapter: A Chance to Rebuild
All I seek is a decent life, a chance to rise again and make a meaningful contribution to the world around me.
The Closure of Rafah Crossing: Trapped in a War Zone
During the war, our only hope for survival was to evacuate from Gaza. The only way out was through the Rafah border crossing, but it required $5,000 per person—an amount we simply could not afford.
As the attacks on Rafah escalated, the crossing was completely shut down, leaving us trapped with no escape. The suffering continued, and every day became a struggle for survival
Our Goal
Our primary goal in raising funds is to secure shelter, cover our basic monthly needs, and afford essential medications, especially for diabetes. We must prepare for evacuation if the border crossing opens. We have set a target of $35,000 to cover exit fees, basic survival needs, and the transition to a new country where we can begin to rebuild our lives.
How You Can Help
1. Every donation, no matter the amount, goes directly to supporting my family in Gaza. It will help us afford shelter, food, and essential diabetes medication. Even a small contribution can make a real difference in helping us survive and move forward.
2. Spreading the word about our campaign is just as valuable as donating. By sharing it with others who may be able to help, you increase our chances of reaching the support we desperately need.
Your generosity can transform our lives and help us take the first step toward a new life. We thank each and every person who reads our story, supports us, or shares our campaign. Your kindness can make a world of difference.
