I am starting this fund-raiser on behalf of my father and our family
In 2021 after the birth of her son Flynn, Hope was diagnosed with an extremely rare disease called susac syndrome. There is only 5 cases Australia wide.
Susac syndrome is an autoimmune endotheliopathy a disorder in which the body's immune system mistakenly attacks the inside lining of the walls of the blood vessels that supply blood to the brain, retina and inner ear. If you would like to understand more about Hope's condition please have a look at some research.
There is no cure for Susac, it affects patients differently, unfortunately for Hope it has left her serve damage. It's crazy how quickly this has all happened, only a month ago hope was able to walk, talk and do most things herself to now not able to do anything or even talk.
On the 17th of December 2024 Hope was deemed terminal, Today 19th of December it was explained to us to spend as time as we can with her as it's only expected Hope would only have a few weeks left.
Hope was such an amazing, bubbly, full of life girl. She was everyone's rock, if you ever needed something she was right there. If you needed a listening ear no matter what was going on in her life she was always there for her loved ones.
We want to have the most amazing possible send off that we can for our beautiful Hope. This has come so unexpectedly and, so we are going to swallow our pride and ask for any help anyone may be able to help as have the an amazing send off and what is remaining will be used to set up a trust fund for her little man Flynn.
Thank you all for reading.
