Hope Care Rescue Mission Survivors Centre
Donation protected
My name is Dave Flew; I am fundraising on behalf of my Partner Kirungi Linneti's Hope Care Rescue Mission.
HOCRAM was founded by Kirungi Linneti in 2017, supporting Uganda's acid and burn survivors and other marginalised groups.
An acid attack survivor herself, Linneti works diligently to create awareness of this significant crime in Uganda, which devastates survivors' lives, their families, and society at large.
Acid attacks cause severe physical, psychological and social scarring and even death. Victims are left with social stigmatisation, the breakup of families, poverty, and a lack of earning potential. There is often no legal recourse and minimal access to medical or physiological assistance. Many survivors are abandoned by their own families and left to fend for themselves during the most vulnerable time in their lives.
HOCRAM’s mission is to create a survivor’s centre in Uganda as a meeting place and temporary housing for victims and survivors of acid attacks while aiding in their recovery process. The centre will consist of a medical centre, legal clinic, training facility, and a place to display their crafts for sale.
Please help us to make this dream a reality and to change the lives of vulnerable survivors and victims in Uganda.
All funds received will be forwarded straight to Hocram to be used in the pursuit of creating the Survivors Centre. Updates on the progress of this project will be shared here and on Hope Care Rescue missions Media Channels. https://hocram.org/
