To all compassionate hearts - My name is Isabel Furie and I live in Boston, MA. I'm running this campaign for my dear brother and his family who have been displaced from Gaza City, to Rafah and are now in the Nuseirat camp. Abdullah is the proud husband to Areej and father of Amin (1.5y) and baby Palestine (3m). Abdullah is an electrician who worked for the Gaza City Municipality - he has had no income for 10 months. He is also with his mother, two sisters, two brothers and one sister with children whose husband is in Northern G. Please - do what you can to show solidarity to this family in any way that you are able. Sharing Abdullah's story and raising his voice matters!
Funds raised will be used for :
- Every day things like diapers, food, menstrual pads, bottled water, soap, clothes
- Tent/Shelter/Rent for 15 as they are on their 3rd displacement
- Medical expenses (baby Falasteen is suffering from recurrent fevers + dehydration and goes to the hospital for fluids, Abdullah needs dental care emergently, but it is COSTLY, Abdullah's mother requires consistent medical care and so on)
- Evacuation funds for as many family members as possible - when the border reopens
- Immediate expenses upon exit into Egypt/Funds to Rebuild
This is their story -
I am Abdullah Ameen. I was initially displaced from Gaza City to Rafah and, later, from Rafah to the Nuseirat camp. My wife, children, and I are facing significant challenges in meeting our basic needs. My elder son, Amin, who is a year and a half old, and my newborn daughter, Palestine, who is one month old, desperately need a better future that ensures them a life of dignity and safety.
The ongoing war in Gaza makes it difficult for us to secure a stable and safe life for our children. Therefore, I appeal to you from the depths of my heart to help us leave this afflicted area to ensure a better future for my family. We need to be evacuated to a place that offers safety and stability, where my children can grow up in a healthy environment and enjoy their basic rights.
I fully understand that wars and harsh conditions pose immense challenges for families in Gaza, but with your solidarity and support, we can secure a better future for our children and overcome this hardship together.
