I am Ibrahim Khader, living in Austria, and I have created this fundraising campaign to support my sister Leila and her war-torn family in Gaza. Their story is one of unimaginable hardship and resilience, and they urgently need your help to find stability and rebuild their lives.

Hello, I am Leila Khader, a mother of a two-year-old girl, and I am reaching out for your assistance to achieve stability for my family after enduring war and displacement. Our ordeal began on October 7th when my husband and I lost our jobs and were forced to flee our home due to occupation threats of bombing nearby areas. We first sought refuge at my father's house on Al-Sena'a Street in northern Gaza, but the occupation demanded the evacuation of the entire area, leading to the complete destruction of my father's house by fire.

We then moved to my grandfather's house in the Al-Jalaa area, only to be ordered to evacuate to the southern region of Wadi Gaza. My grandfather's house was also damaged. We ended up in Rafah, facing real hardship due to the lack of shelter, food, and water. This dire situation severely affected my young daughter Ayah; she could no longer walk due to fear and a lack of essential vitamins for her growth. Ayah would sleep all the time and wake up to the sounds of bombing and explosions, crying frantically. She refused to eat or drink milk out of sheer terror.

After some time, we experienced a severe shortage of diapers, forcing us to use alternatives that caused her severe infections, which we struggled to treat due to the lack of medicine.

After 170 days of displacement, my husband managed to borrow $12,500 to escape to a safer place. Our only option was Egypt, where we paid $5,000 for each one of us, me and my husband, and $2,500 for Ayah. We fled to Egypt, burdened with the trauma of war, debt, and illness due to the harsh living conditions we had endured, only to face the challenge of high living costs here.

Having lost our jobs due to the war, we are unable to provide a decent life anywhere because we have no source of income and are being pressured to repay the debt, which has become a heavy burden. Recently, we were informed that our apartment in Gaza was severely damaged due to shelling and artillery fire.

I promised my daughter Ayah that I would do everything I could to provide her with a safe and peaceful life, ensuring she has food and medicine to walk and play like other children. With your help, I can fulfill this promise. To achieve this, I plan to start my own business to meet the needs of my daughter and family after repaying the debt.

Therefore, I urgently need your help to repay the $12,500 debt. Additionally, we need $13,000 to repair our damaged home in Gaza and $5,000 to start our own business. My family consists of three people: myself (Leila), my husband (Muhammad), and my daughter (Ayah).

This war has taught me the value of each breath and the importance of time. Despite the harshness of the world, I believe that goodness exists and that compassionate people like you can help us achieve our objective before it’s too late.
