I just wanted to take a minute to let everyone know what is going on with our family. We recently found out we are expecting a little babe. ❤️ We are so so excited as this was very unexpected. I suffer from a few rare immune system diseases that make pregnancy very challenging. Anti phospholipid syndrome, mthfr gene mutation, systemic lupus, mast cell activation syndrome, graves disease to name a few. They are monitoring everything very closely and ultrasounds every week.

This week we ran into a road block that we just cannot jump over ourselves. My immune system is flairing and attacking my liver, pancreas, and kidneys. With my immune system so mad it is putting both baby and I in danger. ❤️

They have tried increasing all my normal immune meds with no success.

The intravenous treatment my immunologist is recommending is called Gammagard. It's a blood product that would give me someone else's immune system antibodies to calm mine. This is a intravenous infusion (IV) every two weeks. Yesterday my immunologist said without it baby will likely die. Which is completely unfathomable. We saw baby's heartbeat yesterday and I just am in full momma bear mode.

My diseases are so rare there is little research into treatments via the FDA. Insurance has denied this life saving treatment. This is something that will be necessary every two weeks for us. And costs $2862 every two weeks. That is something financially we cannot afford as we make well below $5700+ a month with me being sick and only one steady income.

We are asking our amazing friends and family to help our family keep hope alive and donate what they can (the smallest amount helps) and share our GoFundMe with your circle to help get baby and me our Gammagard treatments needed to help keep baby alive and baby and I healthy throughout this pregnancy.
