Hope for Haitian Children

Tax deductible
On Sunday, I’ll take to the streets to run the NYC Marathon in support of Foyer Espoir Les Enfants, an orphanage and school in Haiti.

As you may know, I run for this cause each year, and unfortunately their need only becomes greater. Many years ago I asked for support after the country, and specifically the capital, experienced a devastating earthquake. Sadly, history repeated itself on August 14th of this year, when a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck the island. This came at a time when the country was reeling from the assassination of their President and rising gang violence.

Fortunately, MaryJo, has been able to run her orphanage in Port-au-Prince without disruption. However, the school has been impacted due to varying road blockages and safety concerns preventing some students and teachers from being able to make it to the school consistently. Over the years, MaryJo has also supported rural orphanages in Haiti. One is in an southwestern area heavily impact by the summer earthquake and now is overwhelmed with 200 kids.

I'd like your support for this organization as they preserve and grow the safe place that is Foyer Espoir les Enfants. Additionally, today we can provide further support to create some stability for children in rural areas. In an unstable environmental, a safe home and an education bring hope. Your contribution makes a huge difference in the organization’s ability to develop and support the country’s youth.
