A lot can happen in a year. You can buy that dream home where you plan on years and years of new memories. You can welcome the birth of your beautiful baby girl. You can find out that over the course of a year, a cervical mass has appeared, spreading to nearby lymph nodes, resulting in a rare and aggressive cancer called Small Cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma of the Cervix.
No known cause.
No "catch it early" phase.
Just full-blown, stage 3 cancer.
We hear the stories. We do what we can to prevent it. But then cancer just finds a way in, turning your world upside down.
Our dear friend, Hanna Armstrong, was diagnosed with this cancer on August 8th, 2019. A cancer so rare, that only 2% of women diagnosed with cervical cancer will have this type. That's only 100 women a year.
Hanna deserves the best. And MD Anderson in Houston, Texas is the best for treating this type of cancer.
Her treatment plan will be 7 weeks of radiation in conjunction with chemo. She will be living in Houston during this time.
Hanna is the least selfish person I know. I think we can all attest to that. So of course she would never ask us for help, financially. But what are friends and family for, if we can't help the ones we love when they need it the most.
Your funds will go directly to Hanna and her family. To help with her housing in Houston, treatment, Luella's needs, mortgage, anything and everything.
We are Hanna's heroes. And she is ours.
