Hope for Havilah - Puppy and ADA Home

Donation protected
To Havilah's family, friends, and dedicated supporters,
After much hesitation to start a fund for Havi, it was decided that raising funds through a platform will only help bless Havi and improve her quality of life so she can get certain pieces of medical equipment that are not covered by insurance and eventually the hope to fund a home that is fully accessible fit to her needs. Thank you in advance to anyone who chooses to bless Havilah and continues to pray for her.

A little background on Havilah:
Havilah was born extremely premature at just 26 weeks gestation. She weighed 1.6lbs at birth and has been fighting since she took her first breath. Her mother Naomi passed away when Havi was 1 month old. Her father Michael cares for her full time with the occasional help from family and friends. Havi is 24/7 care and needs help with all of her daily needs. Due to Havi's prematurity, she has chronic lung disease. She spent a long amount of time on a ventilator and because of that, she developed a condition called subglottic stenosis (a severe narrowing of her airway). Due to these conditions, Havilah is dependent on a tracheostomy for a secure airway. She also experiences frequent respiratory infections and has frequent emergency department visits as well as inpatient stays. Havilah is currently in the hospital having multiple extensive surgeries to reconstruct her airway, giving her a chance to eventually not be dependent on a tracheostomy and slowly wean from the trach. It is hard to tell what the future holds for Havi, and how affected she will be both physically and mentally by what she's gone through. Havi spent about 9 months in the NICU after she was born and due to her early arrival she developed multiple long-term diagnoses as a result. What we know so far is that this has caused her to have a significant developmental delay. Havilah at this time is unable to walk, crawl, talk, or eat by mouth. She has officially been diagnosed with cerebral palsy and is on the autism spectrum disorder. She is also awaiting results to see if she has Rett Syndrome. Havilah requires extensive therapies and follow-ups to help her achieve her potential in gross motor, fine motor, and speech/language development. To help aid in her developmental progress she gets occupational therapy, physical therapy, and behavioral and is followed by a team of specialists. Havilah has endured so much in her lifetime, yet she continues to fight and overcome every day! She is the strongest little girl with her Dad by her side and her Mama watching over her. Her name is very fitting for her journey. Havilah is a biblical name that is Hebrew. The full meaning of Havilah Rain is: To endure pain and suffering but to bring forth the Holy Spirit. Naomi and Michael were given her name long before she was born. They had no idea that Havi would indeed endure the journey she is currently going through in life and the loss of her mother before she was born. She is little but fierce, and she will move mountains with our help!
