Hope for José

Hello everyone! My name is Maria Hernandez and I am hoping to raise money for my beloved Father, José Hernandez. A man of great inspiration to me.
About two weeks ago my father was rushed to the emergency room due to what the doctors had thought was Influenza. He was treated for Influenza and sent home that night. At the time, the doctors could not tell what was really going on with my father. The next couple days my father weakened and his speech became impaired. Three days after the emergency room, my vulnerable Father got up, dressed himself, and went to work 45 minutes away. He was sent home as soon as he got there because he was not looking good. That same day he went in for his check-up at 2pm. My Father had a stroke on both sides of his body. His body was completely vulnerable with little strength left to his right side. He had a stroke the night he had gone in to the emergency room and the doctors had missed it. He was no longer able to go home once they had realized what had really happened. The doctors had told our family that the stroke symptoms were hidden by Influenza. It was a shock that none of us were expecting. My father was moved from Door County Memorial Hospital to St. Vincent's Hospital about 45 minutes away. My mother had gone and stayed with him those 5 days he was hospitalized, while I cared for my younger siblings.
My father and my mother have a total of 9 kids. With the youngest being 2 years old. My mother has been caring for my father and has not been able to work leaving bills piling up with no income coming in. My father wishes to return to work but is not able to due to the effects of the stroke. It has been a hard time for our family but we have hope that he will soon get better.
