Hope for Kauai's Youth: Support Rami's Mission

I'm Rami Donahoe, a former school counselor with 20 years of experience, author, and a follower of Jesus Christ. Throughout my career, I’ve witnessed firsthand the struggles young people face, especially during the challenging transitions at the start of a new year. Statistics show an alarming rise in suicide attempts following the fall holidays, and I believe it's crucial to take action before it's too late.

Living on an island with limited mental health resources, we must step up and provide support where it’s needed most (awareness, prevention, and faith). My heart’s desire is to organize a powerful, life-saving event for our youth, combining the impact of the performance arts, heartfelt testimonies from peers and leaders, life-preserving strategies, and, most importantly, a Jesus-centered structure. This event will offer tools that empower our young people to thrive emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. I am very proud to announce that the Nehemia Center of Kauai will be collaborating with us for this inspiring and informational event. They will be the first and only Christian Counseling and services center on Kauai.

Your donations will help fund the cost of rental for the venue and all of the technical equipment rental we will need to make this evening engaging. Your donations will also supply a free program with community resources for mental health, crisis, community activities, church youth groups, and other vital contacts to help the family unit.

The rental of the War Memorial will cost around $600.00, which is a great bargain! The lighting and sound engineers for the evening take the bulk of the cost with is around $4, 700. We are trying to keep advertising costs down, and food to ensure the price does not get anymore inflated.
