Hope for Mikayla

Mikayla is a beautiful 15 year old sweetheart with multiple complex medical issues, and she NEEDS our help.
Adopted from China as a toddler, Mikayla has struggled with trauma related issues from the beginning. Her family has worked tirelessly to help her and have faced so many challenges along the way.
I reached out to her mom Wendy recently as I felt the family were in need of support. Her family is really struggling emotionally and financially so I decided to set up this page to see if our awesome community could help.
Mikaylas medical/psychological team have suggested that she will benefit with additional therapies and treatment including Neurofeedback & sensory therapies/tools. She now qualifies for a Service Dog but as my family knows too well, the waiting list for PTSD trained K9s is very very long, and preference goes to combat veterans.
Our goal is to help Mikaylas family find a suitable dog and pay for training. We are also hoping to raise enough to cover items like a weighted blanket, Neurofeedback and additional therapies. Mikayla will also need complex dental/sinus repair within the next year or so.
I've known this family for over a decade and as a fellow adoptive mom of a trauma affected child I am hoping we can come together to help Mikayla.
