Hope for Nadirah - Fighting Stage 3 Breast Cancer
Donation protected
My beautiful and amazing friend, Nadirah, is a single mom who was diagnosed with Stage 3 (Invasive) Breast Cancer earlier this year. “Stage 3 cancer means the breast cancer has extended to beyond the immediate region of the tumor and may have invaded nearby lymph nodes and muscles, but has not spread to distant organs… This stage is considered to be advanced...” -National Breast Cancer Foundation’s website. The doctors told her that it has spread to the lymph nodes and that on a scale of 1-3 for aggressiveness, this cancer is a 3 (the most aggressive).
Nadirah has been fighting this cancer through chemotherapy treatments since April of 2021. Her 5 months of chemotherapy were recently cut short (with 5 weeks remaining), because the chemo side effect of neuropathy has left her in debilitating pain for weeks. The pain in her fingers makes it hard for her to use her hands for most things.
Other side effects of the chemo, like several hot flashes a day, have disrupted Nadirah’s sleep cycles and hydration level. And we all know how a lack of sleep and hydration make everything more challenging.
The remainder of her treatment involves a double mastectomy (with removal of some underarm lymph nodes), radiation, and hormone suppression therapy.
As she approaches her surgery date (later this month), I would love for her to enter the next stage of her healing knowing her finances are in order and the bills incurred during her treatment are paid. She is also interested in utilizing holistic medicine and nutrition therapies. The funds will help her pay for those as well as food, rent, car repairs, and supplies for herself and her 9-y-o daughter.
She is in the process of starting her own business, but as she is unable to work in her current condition, financial assistance would be extremely helpful in the meantime. Please consider a donation for Nadirah to help her along the way until she can recover from the cancer treatments. The world deserves more of this vivacious, kind, caring, and benevolent woman.
She is someone who doesn’t like to ask for help, but she is an exhausted single mom. These are desperate times, and her gratitude is infinite for whatever you may be able to contribute. Please shower her with love and encouragement, if you have the means, a financial gift. Most importantly, please share this with everyone you know, in hopes that Nadirah will find a windfall of relief from our greater community.
Thank you all for taking the time to visit this page and from the bottom of our hearts for any contribution, whether it be monetary or a simple share of the story. As we learn more, I will update you frequently.
