Hope For Renai, Jett & Holly

Hi everyone!
My name is Mel and I have created this GoFund Me page for my beautiful, brave, courageous sister Renai who has MS. Multiple sclerosis, or MS, is a long-lasting disease that can affect your brain, spinal cord, and the optic nerves in your eyes. It can cause problems with vision, balance, muscle control, and other basic body functions.
A bit about my “little sis” Renai……
Renai is the youngest of 3 daughters at 43 years of age. As a young woman, she was a talented hairdresser even competing in the World Titles in Europe representing Australia. However, her proudest achievement by far is being a Mum to her 2 beautiful young children Jett (her 10-year-old son) and Holly (her 8-year-old daughter.) As her sister, the fact that she does this as a single Mum makes me even prouder.
In 2014 Renai collapsed in her hairdressing salon and was rushed to the hospital. It took nearly 6 months of extreme pain on her left-hand side including disturbed vision in her left eye before MS was finally diagnosed. Renai’s continued with treatment whilst working & raising her 2 gorgeous children, always with a positive outlook.
However, 6 months ago, things took a turn for the worse, Renai had her first seizure whilst doing the grocery shopping. Another seizure followed, and it wasn’t until this time that brain surgery discovered multiple lesions were, in fact, attacking her brain. It was decided that treatment with monthly transfusions in the hospital (coupled with a pain management plan) would help to slow the MS progression down. Unfortunately, MS had other ideas….and it is now rapidly taking over Renai’s body & her pain is becoming unbearable.
I have raised this GoFund Me page as although there is no cure for MS, there are more intense treatments available for my sister which can slow down this disease/pain to allow her to live her life more comfortably with Jett & Holly. However, the treatment costs a lot of money, and as much as our family is doing all we can for her it is unfortunately just not enough & the time has come to ask for help.
So here we are… reaching out to our friends, extended family, community, & anyone really who might want to help Renai. Any donation is so appreciated, no contribution is too small, & every little bit helps. Not discounting the fact that if we could get EVERY person reading this to share our GoFund Me Page to their wider network we really would be spreading the message of hope for my sister Renai. If you feel your network is too small, again, it all helps. Hope can be spread in other forms too such as Messenger, Linkedin, Instagram, even the old fashioned phone & email can work wonders!
