Hope for Sandeep: Restoring Life After Tragedy

We write to you with heavy hearts, seeking your support in a time of profound need.

On October 17, 2023, our entire life turned upside down. My father Sandeep Maheshwari was involved in a hit-and-run accident involving a motorcycle and car, leaving him battling for his life. The crash resulted in traumatic brain injury, shattered ribs, a broken clavicle, and a broken scaupla. He has yet to regain consciousness, and remains comatose: dependent on external life-support systems.

For 37 exhausting days, we kept vigil by his hospital bed, praying for a miracle. Despite the medical team’s best efforts, the path to recovery has remained uncertain. Yet, we have refused to surrender to despair. On November 23rd, we brought him home, transforming a part of our humble abode into a sanctuary of hope.

However, the journey forwards is fraught with challenges. My father’s condition is delicate, and he requires round-the-clock, ICU-like care. The financial burden of sustaining this level of care is staggering, with monthly expenses surpassing our means.

I reach out to you today, not out of desperation, but out of profound belief in the power of community. We cannot do this alone. We need your support, empathy, and generosity to help us restore my father’s life.
