Hope for the Matharu Family: Standing Together in Solidarity

Hi, my name is Aman deep Mehta and I am starting this fundraising to help a family in dire need of support!

This was a very happy and prosperous family, till Late Mr Daljit Matharu could not cope with some financial problems and decided to end his life. He left behind his old parents age 74 and 72. he is also survived by a son age 17 and a daughter aged 15, who is type 1 Diabetes.

Late Daljit's problem started when he helped a friend in business with some financial commitments as a cosigner and ended up paying for his helping nature. He was working hard to take care of his family and pay all the loans, which he never took, but never came out of this financial loss. He had a life insurance since 2006 which was cancelled, and a new policy was issued in 2022, which unfortunately does not cover the cause of his death and now the family has no options but to sell their house. Unfortunately, as this suicide happened at their place, they are also finding difficulty in selling the house, and the surviving spouse does not make enough to support the current expenses. They were out of savings due to financial problems. As a friend of the late Daljit, I feel that this is the time for the community to show some solidarity and support a family who is now in a very big mess and there seems to be no escape to this currently.

The fundraising is an effort to prove ourselves as a community and help each other, as this can happen to any one of us.

The funds will be directly deposited to the surviving spouses' account and will be used to patch life and maintain their basic amenities, till they find an alternate to fix the issue. No amount is big or small, its the intent that matters.
