Ryan Whitehead, loving husband, father, son, brother and friend, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in the summer of 2017. He has spent the last year and a half undergoing various treatments including Chemotherapy and most recently a Bone Marrow Transplant. While Ryan is still fighting his hardest, the treatments have been extremely rough and have taken a toll on him and his family in every way imaginable. He is currently staying at the Huntsman Cancer Institute where he is overseen by medical staff for several complications related to his BMT.
Although up until recently, the family has been able to get by on his single income, Ryan has since been unable to continue working to provide for his family. Due the severity of his illness, he has and will continue to require around the clock care making it impossible for Dionne to work away from the home. While fundraisers have previously been done and very much appreciated, they were largely able to help pay for the massive medical bills that have been compounding over the time he has been in treatment. The family is now in dire need of help in paying basic living expenses to survive. Funds received from this fundraiser, will help pay for their home, transportation, food, phones, and any other living expenses necessary. It is important to Ryan and Dionne that their kids do not feel the burden that the family is currently going through.
Ryan and Dionne have been married for eight and a half years and are still to this day, very much in love. They have four beautiful children who are the center of their universe. The Whitehead family are the first to help when their friends and family are in times of need. It is our turn to step up and help them through this difficult time so that Ryan can focus on healing and Dionne can be there for him and their children. Every little bit helps!
We would like to thank the army that has been in this fight with Ryan since day one. Without each and every one of you, they wouldn’t be as strong as they are today. #RyanStrong
