We are excited to announce HOPE FOUNDATION Shelter Benefit Concert in Oxford October 20th organised by Chris Williams to raise funds for the shelter. Donations through this page go to the Hope Foundation to contribute to keeping the Hope Foundation Shelter open this winter for Ukrainian refugees leaving Ukraine.

Hope Foundation Shelter in Przemyśl, Poland

I am raising money for the Hope Foundation Shelter I spent 273 hours volunteering in Przemyśl, Poland this summer.

Hope Shelter is a short-term refugee shelter located in the border town of Przemyśl, Poland. It is the largest shelter on the Ukrainian border and has the capacity to host more than 100 guests at once. We provide short and long term solutions such as placement in other countries and travel assistance.

We operate with the minimal amount of staff, all of them being volunteers, as we think having the guests help run the shelter provides a sense of community and contribution in a place where such feelings would otherwise be lost.

That being said, we have considerable operational costs and are in critical need of funding. If the Hope Shelter were to close the other shelters in the area wouldn't be able to handle the influx of refugees and hundreds of people would have no place to escape the imminent winter cold. Your donation will help ensure that we are able to remain open and provide people with a warm place to sleep and access to humanitarian services after they escape the horrors of the russia's war in Ukraine.
