Hope: growing forward on my journey

Hello, my name is James O.

I'm hoping to raise enough funds to get through a difficult financial time; to keep me moving and growing forward.

Several new life developments, some due to my degenerative MD disability, and too, my trying to stay busy by volunteering me and my van for a couple of community endeavors; moving people around, some less fortunate than me, and my not being able to find a part time job that is willing to take a chance on a senior disabled man, has left me without finances to manage my life and financial responsibilities.

Some medical out of pocket expenses, my van needing severe mechanical work: DEQ and check engine/emissions repairs, transmission service/repair, new tires, new tags(expired in March this year; I have until Dec 30th to get my tag's or DMV will fine me!). I'm struggling just to make monthly payments and vehicle insurance and phone service.

 

I'm asking for help because I feel I still have a purpose to fulfill. My vehicle is of vital importance to assist me in getting around: job searches & interviews, medical appointments, and the variety of community volunteer activities that I do that give my life meaning and purpose!

 

I realize that at this particular point in time, holidays around the corner, some of us still smarting from the covid layoffs across the country, work and hours still cut for some, I'm going out on a limb.

I believe in people, as I have been a recipient of the kindness and generosity of other's, as well as being able to witness the true heart of the good people that make up our lives and communities!
