HOPE Response VAN

We are the founders of HOPE Response, Nick and Leslie Piantedosi, and we were blessed with a van and trailer over 10 years ago. Now has come the day that it needs to be replaced! After 188,000 miles the engine, transmission and air conditioning went out in one day. The van has been to remote Indian reservations, over dirt and rocky roads, fully loaded and pulling a trailer that has been fully loaded with items of great need in times of disaster or ongoing needs hard to get. So... the van body had such wear and tear on it that it was not wise to invest in the repairs.

The van has become an important ministry tool for us. It has taken many native youth leadership development teams to other tribes around the USA to share their hope stories. Syrian refugee youth have been taken to camps or opportunities to learn of Arizona or future possibilities. Teams were taken to respond to disasters such as flooding in Houston, forest fires on the Mescalero Apache or tornado alleys and hurricane harbors along the southern USA. Groups of volunteers have been taken to various apartment complexes of refugees from the Congo, Burma, Iraq, Venezuela, Syria or Afghanistan to share Bible stories and engage in fun for children from war-torn countries--truly "Around The World in Phoenix". Groups of 10 women from Afghanistan were taken twice a week to local resources for food, formula, diapers and clothing in their hour of greatest need. We want to continue to do these things and more as the Lord leads us to needs because we are His hands and feet!

We were encouraged to reach out to our social media followers and their friends and followers to help with this need. We only have $10,000 more to raise to be able to replace it with what is needed to pull the trailer (a 1 ton vehicle) and carry the most passengers (12 seats preferrably). We are searching even now for a new or low-mileage "like new" vehicle to put the money raised towards immediate replacement.
