“Hope Springs: Water Relief for Gaza Strip”

Donation protected

In the heart of this brutal aggression by Israel against our defenseless people, where destruction and despair prevail, and water scarcity threatens lives daily, there exists a beacon of hope: the “Hope Springs” initiative. Our mission is simple yet profound—to ensure access to clean water for those caught in the crossfire all over Gaza strip.

Genocide is unforgiving condition, where basic necessities like water become scarce commodities. Families displaced by violence, children orphaned, and communities torn apart all share a common need: survival. “Hope Springs” steps into this void, bridging the gap between desperation and resilience.

Who we are:
We are a dedicated group of young volunteers from Gaza who are committed to ensuring access to clean water for our community. Despite the risks, we have been working tirelessly on a small scale to secure clean water for our neighborhoods, refugee camps, and shelters. With support from various beneficiaries, we have made a difference. Now, we aim to expand our impact and serve even more shelters all over the Gaza strip and your generous donation can make this possible.

The current situation of clean water in the Gaza Strip:
After nearly10 months of ongoing genocide against our civilian population, hundreds of water and sanitation facilities have been damaged or destroyed all over Gaza strip. This includes boreholes, desalination plants, and wastewater treatment plants, which led to the deterioration of already poor conditions for the availability of clean water. Families are forced to drink contaminated water, risking their health. Rates of diarrheal disease and hepatitis A have surged, particularly affecting vulnerable populations.

Presently, Gazans have access to a mere 1.5 liters of water per person per day for all essential needs (drinking, cooking, and hygiene). This falls significantly short of the international emergency water threshold, which is 15 liters per person per day—ten times the amount currently available to Gazans.

How You Can Help:
At present, the cost of 1000 liters of clean water falls between 50 USD and 55 USD, inclusive of transportation and fuel expenses. Some important points to consider:
● The price varies based on the specific area and the distance from the water source.
● Fuel prices significantly impact the overall cost (and obtaining fuel remains challenging due to aid restrictions imposed by Israel). Currently, 1 liter of fuel ranges from 28 USD to 42 USD.
● We will regularly update this page with the latest pricing information.

Your small donation can make a significant difference, ensuring vital clean water reaches families across Gaza. By raising awareness and advocating for humanitarian efforts, we collectively create change. Rest assured, we’ll keep this page updated with photos and videos, documenting the water distribution efforts fueled by your support.
We will create a Tik Tok and Instagram account to showcase our services that we provide through your donation, even if it is small.
