Hope & Support for Maureen's Healing Journey

Have you ever wanted something for someone so badly that your heart ached?  Many hearts are aching and prayers are being said for Maureen's healing.  Maureen was diagnosed with ovarian cancer on April 16, 2018. This was a notable date because it was on that day 35 years earlier that she married the love of her life. Instead of celebrating, Maureen and Leon were beginning the fight of their lives. 
 
Maureen's journey has been one of triumphs and challenges beginning with surgery and chemo, a period of remission and celebration, then the rearing of cancer's ugly head once again. 

As Maureen continues to fight cancer, COVID-19 physically separates her from loved ones who would normally be there to support and uplift her. She's spent countless days and nights in the hospital, with her loving husband by her side. Together, throughout this fight, they have comforted close friends who have lost loved ones, encouraged others who were enduring trials, delivered food to families during the pandemic food shortages, and supported their daughter who recently underwent a life saving pancreas and kidney transplant.

Through it all, Maureen has been a warrior. She's always been a woman of quiet strength, and one of the most humble, selfless, and caring  people you'd ever meet.  For almost three years, she has smiled in the face of adversity, but she needs the prayers and support of others to continue fighting this dreaded disease. 

She and her husband would never ask for help, which is why we area asking on their behalf.  Your prayers for healing and a monetary donation of any amount would be greatly appreciated. All funds will be given to Maureen's family to help with medical costs and all needs that she and her family may encounter as they seek to improve her health and quality of life.
