Helping Homeless Giving them Hope.
Naomi House Family Volunteer Form
GOAL:
100% of all the money raised will go to help the homeless with food, activities, cards for hope, clothes, and hygiene products.
MISSION:
Over the years I have struggled time to time when I would see a homeless man or women walking the streets. I wanted to know their story and and I wanted to show them that someone, a complete stranger can actually truly care. I was curious if it would make a difference or would it even matter to them? It’s hard for me to justify handing someone a couple bucks outside my car window at a stoplight because they are asking for it. In my mind I always assumed it would go straight to alcohol or drugs.
ABOUT ME:
My name is Josh Taylor and I was once that kid living on the streets, living in shelters, moving place to place every couple of months. Over the years I have participated in giving back on my own for different organizations and for tragic personal events. I grew up in N.E. Minneapolis. I made many mistakes. Most of them because I was so poor and hungry I just wanted something to eat. I am not telling you this because I want you to feel bad. I am telling you this because most of you would have never guessed. I was a kid so I didn’t have much of a choice but I did find a family that took me in when I was 16 and their love helped change me into the man I am today.
DONATION:
I am asking for donations so I can purchase clothes, food, and hygiene products to hand out to people who really need it. We will also be making cards with all the donors names on it so they can see how many people went out of their way to show them that a complete stranger actually cares enough to donate their time and money. I will be doing my best to make sure this stuff gets in the right hands of the right people!
Thank you for your time and donation,
Josh Taylor
