Maria's Hope & Prosperity is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Islamorada, Florida. We are dedicated to helping underprivileged children, families, and individuals in the local community with access to basic necessities such as food, clothes, school supplies, toys, personal hygiene products and linking them to other community resources. We engage in many hands on activities on a daily basis in order to fulfil the many request that we receive from our community.
Throughout the year we host various events to serve our under privilege population. Our activities range from gathering meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas to feed those in need in our community to acquiring back to school supplies, assisting the elderly with light task such as helping them clean their yards, visiting them or bringing them food. We also provide basic necessity items such as clothes, shoes, etc. to underpriviledged individuals and families.
As the Holidays approach we are getting ready and trying to piece together the necessary resources to provide a thanksgiving dinner and a christmas event for many needy families and individuals in our community.
We believe that when a passion drives a cause the results can have a life changing effect. Our passion lies in the ability to serve those who need us and we wholeheartedly dedicate ourselves every day to serve those in need in our community.
To date, we have helped over 500 families and counting; we hope to double this number by the end of next year. Our biggest goal is to ensure that underprivileged children, families, and individuals have the opportunity to gain access to the basic resources they need.
