Our aim is to empower a Social Enterprise in North Ghana to improve the quality of life and standard of living of vulnerable local women.
The Project:
Our Project is focused on helping an enthusiastic,
young female entrepreneur in north Ghana. We help her through teaching Business, Finance,
Marketing and Research concepts and empowering her to achieve her goal.
She is currently in the process of setting up a Social Enterprise to develop her local
village and provide opportunities for the women that live there.

The Fundraising:
We are fundraising to purchase equipment for the Shea Butter
Production Process. There is a variety of equipment needed and all of which is
proved to either speed up the process or make it safer for the Women involved.
Why is it so
important to get the equipment?
One "“ The women currently make the Shea butter by hand, a very long and laborious process! They spend hours crushing the nuts with rocks, roasting them over a fire, and stirring the mixture. The equipment will massively cut down the processing time, making it safer for the women, and getting the product into the market quicker.
Two "“ The Women involved are currently not being paid at national
Minimum wage. For Ghana that is 4.48 GHC / DAY (Just less than £1.50!!). The
reason for this is that if the Women are to take a larger pay at this stage the Social
Enterprise will not make a profit and not be sustainable. The women have chosen
to earn less for the time being as they believe there is a potential for the
Social Enterprise to grow in the future, however they cannot continue to take
this pay cut for much longer. They also need to provide for their families.
