Hope’s final hospital bill

If you’re here from the video I posted you know that Hope unfortunately passed away last night while at the animal hospital. I brought her there on Saturday because some of the symptoms had returned. She was in much better shape than she was back in April when she was first admitted. Her eyes were open, she was active, she just had a suppressed appetite and was mouth breathing for one day. I took her to the animal hospital the very next day. We came up with a 4 day treatment plan they sedated her took a biopsy, blood, gave her fluids, a vitamin A shot, some pain medicine and kept her warm and humid. She made it through the night and was doing well the next morning. Around 3 pm they called and said she was declining and her heart rate had slowed. Around 7 pm they called again and said that she was showing signs of improvement. Then at 9pm I woke up to 6 missed calls. I answered the 7th and they gave me the bad news Hope had passed away. I am completely shocked and devastated. My heart is broken because the thought of losing her this time around didn’t even cross my mind, she was in such better shape now than the first time around. But I think it was all just too much for her system to handle. I still haven’t received the final bill from the hospital but the estimate I got for 4 days of care was $2,200 - 3,500. I’m not sure exactly what the number will be but even though her stay was only a day and a half and not 4 days I’m sure the bill will still be in that ballpark because they did do everything that they could to try to save her. If you decide to donate I would really appreciate it as this would lift a heavy burden off of me during this difficult time. Hope was a part of my daily routine, my pride and joy, my purpose for 6 years of my life and I will be lost without her.
