Horley Town FC urgent appeal to fix damage

Hi, I am Hannah, a Trustee of Horley Town Football Club. I am raising funds to help HTFC overcome the hurdle it faced this week just ahead of the upcoming season. Having spent money on extensive pitch maintenance work in June- July, our back pitches were looking in great condition for the season ahead.

Unfortunately, on Monday morning, a group of 30-40 Travellers forced entry onto the back pitches and moved trailers, caravans, cars, vans, quad bikes onto the back pitches. This, along with the fires they burned, caused considerable damage to the pitches and surrounding areas which needs to be put right before the start of the season. They also broke the senior goals that were out the back beyond repair.

Horley Town FC, as a small club, has suffered as a result of rising running costs for some time and we simply do not have these urgently needed funds at this point in the footballing season. We are pleading with the local community to support a Community Club at this time, whether this be through a donation, or booking a function or coming along to a game to support the club.
