Hornsby Spiders U14 Boys - National Championships 2024

The Hornsby Spiders U14 JPL Boys have qualified for Basketball Australia's U14 Club Championships in Melbourne! After a long season our team finished 3rd on the ladder and secured a spot in this year's tournament, which will see the best U14's teams from every state compete to be crowned best in Australia in September.

The boys and their coaches have worked extremely hard this season and overcome a number of obstacles along the way including broken bones and developing our four players who were brand new to representative basketball.

We were initially thrilled to make the Junior Premier League (the top level of NSW club basketball) in February and have gone from strength to strength with a common belief that 'if you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together'. Having the two top JPL scorers on our team helped but the strength of our defence and rebounding has also been key to getting this far!

Any donations would be greatly appreciated and would contribute in getting the best talent Hornsby has to offer to the national stage. Funds donated will be put towards expenses including uniforms, travel and accommodation for players and coaches.
