... I’m making something myself, which also happens to be my feature film directorial debut!

HORRIFIED is a meta horror comedy starring Hallmark superstar Aimee Teegarden (FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, RINGS, SCREAM 4). Aimee plays Jamie Jaymes, a down-on-her-luck former scream queen who attends a horror convention in a small town where a serial killer disguised as the villain from her franchise starts to pick off her friends one by one.

This film isn’t just a fun horror romp; it’s about a woman struggling with addiction and overcoming her inner demons by battling evil in real life.

To drum up excitement (and investors), a couple of our actors and a small crew are traveling to Lexington, KY, in mid-October. That’s where ScareFest, one of the country’s biggest horror conventions, is held. At the Con, we'll shoot b-roll and footage for a sizzle reel/trailer. ScareFest has given us full access to their show, as well as using their name and logo in the film! This will be a 3-day shoot at the Con.

Once the sizzle is completed, we believe there’s a strong potential for us to raise the rest of the funds needed to start production in early 2025 in KY (they have a 35% tax incentive). We are currently half-funded.

Flying and putting up myself, our actors, DP, and an assistant in KY ain't cheap. Neither are all the props and post-production needs. The total number of cost is broken down below:

Flights: $4,600.00

Hair/Makeup: $500.00

Killer Mask Design: $1,500.00

Costumes: $2,000.00

Meals: $1,200.00

Edit/Post: $5,000.00

Music: $2,500.00

GFM/Bank Fees: $2,000.00

= $19,445.00

I’m sharing all this information just so you know how passionate and serious I am about making an incredible, impactful, yet “bloody bubblegum” film.
