Support Indie Female Filmmaker with Horror Feature Film TORN

Hi, my name is Brooke Linsalata. I'm a small indie female filmmaker from Maryland who just wants to make good movies for people to enjoy.

I am putting this GoFundMe together to raise funds for my next feature film, TORN. The movie is about the main character, Elias Wood, that is a detective who must solve the murder of a young woman. He is also a psychic medium and can see the ghost of the young woman. They work together to find her killer. This movie is very special to me, as my mother and co-writer, Adele Bellofatto, is also a psychic medium. I was able to put her experience and insight into this movie.

We are in talks with a high-profile actor that has an extensive resume of movies and television roles for the lead character. It would be a dream come true to secure this actor as I am a huge fan of their work.

To get to production of this movie, we have a financial goal to meet in order to show commitment and get the project started. Filming could possibly start as early as July in various Maryland locations. Your donations would help move us to that goal and see this dream come to fruition.

Who I Am:

I'm a director, screenwriter and actress. I graduated from Full Sail University in 2019 with a degree in film. Currently, I have two films, short and feature films, I have directed and acted in the film festival circuit. My rom-com feature "Gianna" has gone onto several amazing festivals like Austin Revolution Film Festival and Sunscreen Film Festival. "Gianna" has won many awards, to include: Best US Narrative Feature, Best of the Fest and Best Editing for a Feature.

I am now making a horror feature film titled TORN. We will be shooting in Maryland this year.

Logline: A detective named Elias Wood must solve the cold case of a brutal murder with the help of the victim's ghost before her serial killer axes another.

We're so close to filming TORN and I'm very excited to share this movie with all of you.

Where will the funds go?

All of the funds from this GoFundMe will go directly into the bigger named actor. It will go into securing them for the shooting dates.

What will you do with this film?

TORN will be distributed to theatres across the country once the film is complete. After that, the movie will be available on streaming platforms.
