Silver Lining: Horses & Hope for Arizona Families

Tax deductible
Silver Lining Riding is not a rescue -- we're a beacon of hope for both retired horses and individuals with special needs. As the largest Adaptive/Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship nonprofit in the West Valley, our mission is twofold: to offer retired horses a new career and a purpose, while providing invaluable support to our special needs students.

Our beloved retired horses were once overlooked, standing in pastures, and often in need of special care. Just like humans, as these majestic animals age, their needs grow, including supplements, joint care, and medications. Silver Lining Riding gives these horses renewed purpose in supporting our students, offering them a unique connection and boundless encouragement.

Sadly, our organization is at risk and in urgent need of funding to maintain our current programs.

This was a challenging summer for Silver Lining Riding with the unexpected loss and expenses associated with putting down our dear horse, Red, the passing of our mini horse, Sugar, and now with Luna seriously ill. It is also a time of transition, with the onboarding of two new horses, Woody and Brooks.

To continue making a difference in the lives of our amazing horses and students, we need your help.

We urgently need $10,000 to cover medical expenses for the herd, and have set a goal of raising $30,000 by Giving Tuesday, November 28, to help Silver Lining Riding maintain our programs through the end of the year.

Please help Silver Lining Riding by donating to our GoFundMe campaign and helping to spread the word!

Together, we can create a brighter future for both our four-legged friends and the incredible people we serve. Thank you for your unwavering support and belief in our mission.

Here is what your donation pays for:
  • $1,200 - 1 month supply of hay delivered to the Silver Lining Riding herd
  • $500 - 1 month of boarding costs for two horses.
  • $130 - 1 month supply of medications and supplements (Our retired athlete’s/current therapy horses need a variety of medications and supplements to manage their aches and pains.)
  • $115 - 1 month of farrier visit/new shoes (Most of our horses require special shoes to care for their hooves, provide support, and reduce pain.)
  • $100 - 1 month of customized body work (myofascial release, chiropractor, and more as needed for adjustments and to work out knots -- just like for aging humans.)
  • $50 - 1 month supply of special feed (Customized diets aid in digestion and help control any aging complications.)
