Horwitz Family Fund
Donation protected
On May 14, 2016 the Horwitz family was celebrating with 150 guests at their daughter Dylan's bat mitzvah party. Dylan's father, Ricky was being lifted on a chair as family and friends danced the Hora around him. It was one of the happiest days of his life.
Ten days later, as Ricky searched his office for Dylan's bat mitzvah certificate, he collapsed on the floor. He passed away that night from a heart attack. That Friday, many of those same friends and family who helped Ricky celebrate Dylan's bat mitzvah were now helping the family bury him.
Ricky was only 43 years old. He died far too soon. He was an amazing father, husband, brother and son. He was a mensch. He was the type of person who would always lend a hand. Someone who would quietly take on any little project if he thought it would help. Tragically, he left behind an amazing family; a wife Stephanie, and four beautiful, BEAUTIFUL children - Dylan, twins Adam and Riley and their youngest, Maddy.
Although Ricky left this world before he could experience all of the rest of the joys in his children's lives - dance recitals, soccer and baseball games, first kisses, high school and college graduations, weddings - we want to help Steph and the kids get through this horrible point in their lives without additional pain and struggle.
This GoFundMe will help Stephanie as she tries to move on from the catastrophe that occurred In May. It will help her pay the bills and keep up with life as she begins to cope with the realities of being a widow with four small children. Ideally, this GoFundMe will also begin a fund for her children's college education.
Thank you in advance to all the friends and family who see this and are able to help. And thank you to those who have already reached out to help comfort Steph. It is clear how much Steph and Ricky meant to all of you.
