Children's Hospital, Bulgaria
Donation protected
This rehabilitation hospital for disabled children in Bulgaria and surrounding countries is a very special place!
What makes it so special?
At this hospital, mothers of disabled children are directly involved in their child's rehabilitation treatments! They receive moral support and learn how to help their child progress. Mothers stay at the hospital with their child for three days/month as they receive education on their child's disability and assist with their child's therapy. The medical staff's support of these mothers has resulted in a DECREASE in the number of abandoned children with special needs! This means hundreds of children a year, who have cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, or limb disorders from birth defects, are no longer being given up to orphanages and are being raised by their mothers instead!
We, at One Heart Bulgaria non-profit foundation, have helped children receive treatment at Kotel Hospital for ten years. Recently, medical personnel at the hospital asked us for additional funding for the purpose of purchasing updated medical equipment; furniture and air conditioning units for the children's bedrooms (it gets hot there!); couches for the waiting areas and hallways (so the children can rest in between practicing walking); and laminate flooring to replace the very old, peeling vinyl flooring.
With your help, we can turn this children's hospital into a true place of healing for thousands of children from several countries! We would like to raise the funds by December 25th so that all repairs and installations can be finished by March 2017. 100% of proceeds will go to the hospital to complete the the projects listed above.
Thank you so much for your consideration and help!
We are so grateful for any amount you can give! :)
In gratitude,
One Heart Bulgaria
