Hospitalized 4 month baby girl

Our 4 month baby girl got hospitalized on 6/21/22. We took Zoey to the pediatrician on 6/20/22 at 11am since we noticed she had a cough but the doctor said her oxygen levels were good and her lungs sound great. The doctors said she’s coughing due to choking on her drool. I picked Zoey up from my parents house after work. Once I got home I noticed that her chest was retracting and we could see her ribs. We also noticed how fast she was breathing and I could hear her wheezing. I also just saw Zoey 4 hours before picking her up on my lunch break and she was perfectly fine. Once I saw her chest concave in, I called her pediatrician and they told me to go to the pediatric ER room. So we rushed over there. It happened so fast. I was a wreck. I never seen my baby sick before and I was so stressed out. I felt like I couldn’t think and kept crying. I’m glad my husband was there when they had to put an IV in her and giving her oxygen flow. It broke my heart to see her hooked onto so many wires. I never seen my baby so weak and suffering. I’m use to my happy girl. In my mind I’m thinking “ what could I have done to prevent this from happening?!” I felt so hopeless and sad for her. All I want is for her to get better and healthy. She got diagnosed with RSV (Respiratory syncytial virus) and bronchiolitis. Since it’s a virus, there is no treatment. All they can do is suction out mucus, give oxygen, rest and monitor. She also needs to be on a feeding tube since they don’t want breast milk to go into her trachea. Doctor is anticipating her to stay in the pediatric ICU for up to a week. We started this GoFundMe since we didn’t expect our hospital bill to be so much. I just went back to work a couple weeks ago and had no paid maternity leave for 3+ months. Last month, our kitchen flooded and our water heater broke. We just can’t catch a break. Money is tight right now and we just want our baby girl to be okay. We normally wouldn’t ask for money but we are doing our best providing for our family and are here to ask for help. Even $1 would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
