Host4Ukraine is an online platform offering free housing to Ukrainian refugees.
It works like an Airbnb for refugees. It’s a place, where people can offer living space to people in need. It can be a house. It can be a room. It can be a bed. It can be a couch. It can be an airbed on the floor. As long as it is a warm and safe space, it will help the Ukrainian people.
Refugees can then browse the listings and instantly connect with a host over Host4Ukraine . In addition, refugee organizations can proactively search for specific accommodations and match them with refugees on site.
Hosts can be regular people as well as organizations like real estate companies or hotels offering up free apartements.
Since no intermediary is needed and hosts can instantly connect with refugees, we can match people unbureaucratically and faster than by traditional means.
Shortly after launch, hosts from 30 countries already offer thousands of rooms, beds, sofas and airbeds via Host4Ukraine to the people in need – THANK YOU, what an impact!!
Still, hundreds of thousands if not millions of people are expected to leave Ukraine and seek refuge, which means that we need to up our game even further.
To spread the word and create more awareness about Host4Ukraine in social media, we would like to raise money for platform optimizations and social media campaigns – especially in border regions and countries of first arrival.
