House Fire: Burned Mom's Recovery & Loss Of Son

We are heartbroken to share the devastating news of my mom, Karen Godinez and our recent loss. Her youngest child, our beloved brother Cody Godinez, tragically lost his life in a house fire. As if this loss wasn't enough, my mom herself suffered severe burns to her arms, legs, back, face, and feet during the incident. She has started treatment and will be hospitalized for at least the next four days.

This isn't the first tragedy our family has endured. Five years ago, my mom lost her husband, our dad, leaving her to pick up the pieces. Together, we all worked tirelessly to build hers and my dads dream home, but it was consumed by the flames, along with everything inside, not even a year after she moved in. My brother Jacob, who also lived with her, lost all of his belongings as well.

We have created this GoFundMe campaign to rally around My mom during this challenging time. The funds raised will primarily be used to cover medical bills resulting from her extensive burns and a funeral for Cody. Additionally, we aim to support her in rebuilding her life by providing essentials such as clothes, food, and other necessities. Every single contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a significant difference.
