Help Aponte and Griffin family after fire

A house fire changed our lives on January 4th, 2024. At 12:30 AM, a tragic fire broke out and burned through our family home of 20+ years on Ardsley Road in Schenectady, NY.
Javon, our hero, smelled smoke and attempted to put out the fire, but it had already spread beyond hope as thick, heavy smoke and flames expanded and even flash burned him on the face, leg, and hands.
We thank God he was able to save our parents, Robin and Will, as they fled out the front door to safety. They could only watch as everything went up in flames and thick gray smoke creeped out every window. We thank the unnamed Firefighters who arrived to fight the flames.
Our family panicked as Javon was rushed by paramedics to Albany Medical Center for burns and severe smoke inhalation. We feared that he had internal damage, but thankfully, he was released. He is recovering physically, but the mental reminders and mountains are still yet to be climbed.
This was our home. We purchased Ardsley Road in 2002 and were so proud to have our first home. For the last 20 years, it has collected childhood memories and mementos, first steps, laughter, and tears. Everyone loved Grandma's house.
We are grateful everyone made it out safely, but the future is uncertain. If you would like to contribute to helping our family, any funds will go directly to help with Javon's medical expenses, essentials, and food.
Thank you, and God bless.
